"Hey, I'm speaking in Poland this week, so I have a guest blogger: Jason Bedell, Forefront's Creative Arts Pastor. Enjoy!"
So I figured I would give you all an idea of what we use at Forefront:
Our campuses always have a live alt-rock band, cover song from secular radio that ties back to the theme, 2 videos that pertain to the message/ theme, a commercial about our "big event" or ministry we highlight for the series. We meet in a school so we set-up a PCI sound system, projection (single screen), pro presenter presentation software on a macbook pro. We occasionally do live skits. Top 10's and quirky moments tend to happen quite a bit as we plan for our services.
So what does your service look like?

One last addition: Since we are multi-site, we tape our Sunday morning service at our Beach campus and show it the following week at our Chesapeake Campus.
If you have questions about gear, processes, ideas, etc. Leave them here and we'll address them as the week goes on.
Our church looks like this only one Sunday a month, at our Network Celebration (when our network of micro-churches get together). We use a mix of secular music and "worship" music, but to background tracks while a dude leads the singing. We use tie-in videos, movie clips, etc.
On the other Sundays, two of our three microchurches use video messages that I do, and post on our website. We may, however, start phasing these out in the fall (for several reasons).
Dude, fatherhood has made us both... large (and in charge).
@ Aaron:
Do the tracks you all use have the lyrics on them or do you use instrumentals? Also, what type of presentation software do you all use for your monthly gathering?
Both. If our music dude cannot be there (he was out 3 months with bad surgery stuff earlier this year), we'll use original tracks with lyrics. If he's there, we use background tracks. I'm not sure which site he gets them from, but he has the hook-up with an online karaoke community.
We use good ol' fashioned PowerPoint. Simple. Easy to use. All videos are embedded in the presentation. And we use Magix Video software for editing. Only around $75, and has a ton of features that other more expensive options don't. Can render in just about any format, too, including Quicktime.
Sorry--the dude was out with BACK surgury stuff.
Our Church looks like 3 different congregations on Sunday. We have a Traditional service with an organ and straight forward by the numbers stuff. We have a contemporary service where we use newer worship music and secular music ( this is the service that I lead), along with video and graphics. we use a combination of Media shout and Pro presenter ( our media shout guy is still a little nervous about switching to Pro presenter all the time). we also have a 2nd campus that is sort of new and they run pretty close to the contemporary service with the videos and such, but will add a few more hymns than we do.
The biggest thing that we do right now is that we have a group of high school kids who are running our Sunday morning tech, and they have started creating our 5 minute countdown clocks every week. They tie them to the sermon series with the graphics that we are using and then use either a greenscreen countdown or they have shot an iPod touch using its countdown function. they use Final Cut Pro for that.
@ Louis:
We used to use MediaShout and our tech teams LOVE using pro-presenter. We haven't had any issues with it and you shouldn't have any worries about making the switch. The Renewed Vision team is great about getting updates for their users.
On a side note you should check out Countdown Maker for Mac. It's a great countdown program that anyone can use to create "series specific" countdowns. Here is the link:

@ Louis:
It's cutting off the link. So here ya go, here's a shorter one for ya.
