Wow, I have been in meetings all day! I feel like a real meeting whore. I met with someone from 8 to 9; two other people from 9 to 10; two other people from 10 to 11; two other people from 11 to 12; and three other people from 12:30 to 3:00.
I had a phone meeting scheduled from 7:15 to 8:00 this morning but (thank God) there was a miscommunication and the guy meant 7:15 Central Time, so he called me at 8:15 Eastern Time and I couldn't talk to him.
The one nice thing is getting to meet with people you really enjoy. I seriously can't imagine having to work with people I don't like. I think this may be the best advice I give my kids when they get a little older: "Son ... Daughter ... Work with people you like, even if it means you have to scrub vomitoriums for a living." (I have real high hopes for my kids.)

What’s happening in the vomitoriums that they need cleaned so often and someone would need to do it for a living? Are theater-goers spray-painting the walls or something? You are talking about the passageway to the seats in an ancient theater, right? I guess maybe if you had a contract to clean all of them in town, you might get by. However, you really don’t see them much anymore as egress in meeting spaces is handled in different ways now.

I had one of those days earlier this week. Vince, I agree, you have go to love the people you work with. I'm so proud to be surrounded by such a great team.
You sign the checks don't you? Are you suuuuuure these people just aren't kissing up? Either way it still makes for a nice workplace. I'd rather be surrounded by brown nosers who I thought were friends than plain old people that were honest about not liking me
