I thought it might be fun to do a NCAA Basketball Tournamet Bracket Challenge with the people who read this blog. If you don't know what that is, just skip it. But if you do, and want to participate, go for it!
Here's the deal:
- Cost: Nothing
- Prize: Bragging rights and a copy of my book. (I'm not trying to promote it, I just have nothing else to offer. So if you win, and e-mail your address, I'll send you a copy.)
- How to enter: Go here. There's a tiny link close to the bottom that said, "Trying to join a league that you haven't received a email invite to?" Click it. Then you'll need to enter your CBS Sportsline ID and Password. If you don't have an account, it's free to sign up. Then our group name is: bloggers, and our group password is: bloggers. Then fill out your bracket.
Okay, let the battle begin...

I can't find the "join a group" button
I figured out how to create a bracket, but I can't figure out the group thing either . . .
i think you have to click on the "Manage Your Bracket Competition - Online for Free - Start Here"
at that point you have sign in. you'll have to give your "CBS ID" and "Password" - which if you don't have one will mean you'll have to create one. It's free.
then i think you can join my group. if i'm wrong, let me know!
I'm already managing a bracket, but would like to get in on the Vince blogging action. I'm also having no luck getting to your group. I sign in, and it takes me straight to my stuff, with no option of joining another group.
OK. I may have just accidentally stumbled onto how to do it. Maybe. There's a tiny link close to the bottom that said, "Trying to join a league that you haven't received a email invite to?" I clicked it, followed it through, put in the ID, and got to fill out a bracket. So.. Vince... am I in your bracket? If not, I'm in somebody's!
Nevermind... I'm in. Follow the directions to my middle post, and you should be able to get in, too.
alright, I'm in.
you're going down, antonucci
please, don't even come at me with your trash talk. if there's one thing i know, it's cream soda. but if there's two things i know, the second is bagels. but if there's three things i know, the third is reality tv shows. but if there's like fourteen or fifteen things i know, one of them is college basketball!
Dude,
Every time I've entered one of these things, the guys who are "experts" tend to go down. The secret to success... make your picks like a girl (a girl who knows nothing about college basketball). Base your picks on uniform color, how wierd the name is (how can you not pick Gonzaga?!?) and with the "there are 4 #1's, they must be good" logic. That's why Tennessee will win it all--because their coach looks like he's ready for hunting season with that awesome jacket.
Eat that, Antonucci...
Dude,
Your an Illini Fan! That doesn't qualify as knowing College Basketball! Your going down NUCCI!
Watch out for the Hilltoppers!
Okay.
I've tried every conceivable twist to get into this league.
Can someone send me an invite at travis0823@yahoo.com
Unless you're scared!
I can't seem to get in... it is asking for the league abbreviation (if I am at the right spot) and "bloggers" doesn't do it.
some help here.
Go to cbs.sportsline.com
Click on 'Fantasy' -- top left
Go to right column...half way down you'll see the 'Trying to join a league..." and link. Click there.
Under sport...go to 'Mayhem'
then bloggers for abrv. and bloggers for password.
then you'll have to sign in or you'll have to create a log in.
See if that works.
Kevin,
Thanks for the help.. I was trying to go into "basketball" not "mayhem"
Thanks Kevin - that's what I needed.
I'm in now!
Ok, so I broke down and joined made a bracket on CBS Sportline also.
And my "picking" technique was more spiritual and biblical than some of the other pagan and secular attempts to forsee the future...
I used Proverbs 16:33 and a penny as my picking technique. God is definitely on my side, because using the Bible to help me choose who wins led to Oral Roberts University taking it all.
Vince, you might as well just send me your book right now.
