Bracket Update

Okay, I'm man enough to admit it ... after one round of the Tournament, I am near the bottom of the standings of the Bracket Challenge we're having. And yes, I feel bad and my self-esteem is sinking dangerously low.

However, the one thing that is helping me keep my sanity is Jeremy Myers. I hate to call him out here publicly, but I have to. He may have had the worst first round in the history of picking the NCAA Tournament. Wow. So, yes, that stink you've been smelling is Jeremy's picks. But, don't despair Jeremy, you're future looks bright, with your pick of Oral Roberts to be the ultimate champion. Nice, very nice.

I looked at the bracket this morning, and thought, "Thank God for Jeremy Waters."

Hey!

Just so you know, those were "God's picks."

I used Prov 16:33 and flipping a penny to "let God pick." I figured that when I ended up with Oral Roberts winning it all, that surely proved God was behind my selections.

Of course, when Oral Roberts promptly lost, I cried out, "God, what are you doing?"

Now I know. God wanted me to be an encouragement to those of you tried to make real picks.

Ha ha. (I hope none of this is blasphemous).

It is blasphemous Jeremy. You need to spend Easter repenting.

Of course, there's always the chance that somehow the Oral Roberts team will somehow experience resurrection tomorrow and be back in the tournament. If so, this will prove that you truly had God behind your picks.

But if they don't, I think perhaps you should be stoned as a false prophet. But that's just my opinion.

Ha ha!

My wife and I finished reading your book tonight out loud. Thanks!

The only thing is that now my wife is saying "crap" all the time.

I told my in-laws to buy and read it, and they did! They liked it. Then they read John Burke's book too.
