Yesterday I posted about how my book is available (used) on Amazon for $1.34, which sent me spiraling into a deep depression that I couldn't get out of without the aid of Cream Soda, Peanut Butter Cups, and a 19 hour nap.
Well, today I was in a Christian bookstore (which I typically try to avoid) and I saw that my book was one of the "Lifeway Recommended Books" with a special price of ... "Only $14.99." What makes this hysterical is that the cover price of the book is $12.99. So, I guess it's $12.99 for the book, and $2.00 for the recommendation.
I can't handle this roller coaster of pricing. Someone shoot me.

I did notice that on Amazon that there were 17 reviews, and all 17 were 5 stars. I can hardly wait to read it. Look at it this way, someone who couldn't afford to buy the book for $14.99 (single mom, husband who has lost his job, widow...)will be able to be blessed by only spending $1.34.
good point gina, i guess there really is a silver lining in every cloud....
If it makes you feel better... I paid 12.99 for one last Friday to give to a friend of mine... I simply could not let him have my copy ;-)
Hey Vince,
I started reading "t-shirt" a couple days ago and the first couple chapters are describing me to a T (shirt). Anyway, I have decided to blog my way through it as I read. I don't know if this is good etiquette or not but you can read it here. http://reflectionsofamirror.wordpress.com entitled, "Is There More?"
I am where you were, pastoring a small church but sensing that there is more out there. Can't wait to read the rest. Oh, and I paid $12.99 for my copy as well.
Keep Giving Them Jesus,
Shawn
thanks shawn, and i saw your blog and left a comment on it. remember god said that if we seek him, we find him. and so i think that the desire we have for more will be rewarded. let's keep moving in that direction!
