Another Survey Saturday!

Okay, everyone must calm down! Yes, it's another survey, but that doesn't mean you have to act like a bunch of hoodlums. Let's just chill out and get to the survey. Are you ready? Okay then ... Here's today's question:

If I want to be a person who reaches lost people, and be part of a church that reaches lost people - what is the one blog I should be reading?

Give your answer as a comment to this post. - And don't say this one. Flattery will get you nowhere. (However, if you want to send me money, that will get you everywhere.)

I've really been enjoying Tim Stevens' stuff (leadingsmart.com). The team at GCC is very creative and finding new ways to tell the same story (check the "Let It Be" Christmas as one example).

de-conversion.com

It's a blog with resources for former believers who are now agnostic/atheist. Just reading through the posts will give you a primer for how many unchurched people think, and the reasons they reject Jesus and Christianity.

I have been reading blogs that are operated by people in my city. Most of these blogs are operated by unchurched people who are passionate their city.

I am slowly working my way into a relationship with these people through the blog world.

I started reading the blogs to get an idea of what they are passionate about and how to find a common ground to share the gospel.

Dude,

Boyd's idea rocks! I like that idea.

I am not sure there are many like this blog Vince, but a few that are cool are:
http://smallritual.blogs.com/
http://voxtropolis.com/
http://motionsickness.ca/?cat=4
http://www.churchplanting.com/

Also, to piggy back on Boyd's comment, I think looking at Local newspapers on line or the local opinion section to see what is happening in the local community both good and bad, then get connected somehow into that mix. Sort of the Externally Focused church method that Rusaw talks about.

Richie,

Thanks man.

I realized a while back, that I really didn't have any on going relationships with unchurched people. I then began googling stuff in Jacksonville, FL (where i am located) and found some local blogs. So, I am now starting to interact with these guys and hopefully will grow into some lunch meetings and so forth.

I agree with Travis in comment 2...

I read about 50 blogs a day, and another one that I have found recently is by Steve Sjogren:

http://jumpstartchurch.com/

He has some amazing ideas...that would offend some Christians...but helps bring people to faith in Christ.

Ha ha...as I was checking out some of the links listed above, I realized that the one I recommended (jumpstartchurches.com) is duplicated over at churchplanting.com which was recommended by lehigh valley project.

This is one way to have a blog...have 2 or 3, and post the same information on them all...
