Hey All,
If you could do us a favor - Tuesday night we are having our first "Practice Service" in the bar for our new Tuesday Night Campus.
Typically doing a practice service isn't very high stress because, well, it's a practice service. The thing that's different about this is that the bar is open for business during our services there. So even though our advertising for this service doesn't start for another two weeks (until after two practice services) and our Launch Team (about 30 - 40 Forefronters) won't be inviting people until our "Grand Opening" on October 2nd ... STILL the bar will be open for business tomorrow night when we "practice."
It's a bar/restaurant kind of thing, and the owner is actually having extra waitresses and bartenders every Tuesday night starting with this first practice service. So, at the very least, we know those people will be there and forming their first impression of us.
So, as you might imagine ... this is kind of weird and wacky stuff. Don't know about you, but we've never done church in a bar before. So if you could please pray for us (like seriously pray) that would be much appreciated!!
Thank you!

Wow, sounds like a very unique opportunity. I will be praying!
What bar? I seriously would love to check it out one night!
Count on the prayers from here.
It's at the White Horse Pub, which is in the Pembroke Mall. You can get directions if you need them on our web site.
The cool thing is that not only is the bar open, but the mall is open as well. So there's just tons of potential for people to hear it, see it, experience it by mistake,

Vince -
I'm wondering what led you to your decision re:location. Please forgive the question if you've already talked about this, I'm a new reader. My husband & I are church planters in Corrientes, Argentina.
Hey Alisha,
This isn't a re-location, it's an additional location. We are still meeting in a High School on Sunday mornings, actually two High Schools on Sunday mornings. This is a third location.
I think I'll do a post on "why a bar?" soon, but in a nutshell: We're all (and only) about reaching people who are far from God, and so what better place to do it than in a bar?
Thanks for your question - and it's awesome that you're planters in Argentina! And I can't believe someone in South America is reading this. Now that's weird!
Thanks again
