Speaking
People have “Speaking” pages on their blogs to show you that they’re so important people actually pay them to speak at things. Yes, I am that important. I am so very important it’s hard to estimate just how important I am, but I’ll leave that to people with advanced math degrees. While they figure that out, I’ll be speaking at things. Our church here in Vegas is still in the pre-launch phase but once we start I’ll be speaking there most Sunday mornings. I also speak at other churches, conferences and conventions, and in Las Vegas at local comedy clubs.

About
I have that typical story, told too many times: Guy grows up in home with Jewish mother and gambling addict father, guy becomes a Christian in college by trying to prove the Bible isn’t true, guy leaves career in law to become a pastor, guy starts church in Virginia Beach that grows from four people to hundreds, guy leaves church in Virginia Beach to move to Las Vegas to start church on the Vegas Strip.Yeah, it’s kinda clichéd, but it’s my story so…what can I do?
In addition to that basic boring story line I also am part of a non-profit that is doing humanitarian aid work in remote villages in Vietnam, and am part of starting a new non-profit that will be doing community service to meet needs on and around the Vegas Strip. Almost forgot to mention, I'm in a stand-up comedy show here in Vegas.
I also have an amazing wife named Jennifer, two incredible kids, and one s
tupid dog. I grew up in a small town but now live in Sin City. I hate math but love the Counting Crows. I also love Cameron Crow movies, but that’s the extent of my affection for anything crow-related. I haven’t been named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man of the Year … yet. I love The Office but hate working in offices. I have a fantasy football team named the Screaming Debutants. I love the Los Angeles Dodgers, Mongolian barbecue, and cream soda. I have never seen Oprah Winfrey’s show, but my weight tends to fluctuate like hers’. I love Snow Patrol, but avoid snow at almost any cost. I root hard for the University of Illinois (where I went to Law School). I love to write, and … my father was on America’s Most Wanted. (So at least I’ve got that going for me.)Yup, that’s me.
This blog is mainly me sharing my journey and about trying to make a difference in Vegas.

I Became a Christian and All I Got Was this Lousy T-Shirt
by Vince Antonucci
Many people find themselves asking, "Is this it?" "We all read about the life Jesus
describes and are painfully aware that our lives don't match his words," says Vince Antonucci, a disarmingly funny and edgy pastor. Raised by a Jewish mother and abandoned by his professional poker-playing father, Antonucci found Jesus at age twenty after studying the New Testament. When he finally went to church, he was disappointed to discover a "boring, stale religion."
Through provocative storytelling and raw honesty, Antonucci unearths the life Jesus lived and wants us to experience, challenging us to move past spiritual boredom into a faith that's exciting, beautiful, and powerful. Recommended for all Christians thirsty for a fresh perspective on Christianity.

Guerrilla Lovers
by Vince Antonucci
Everyone is trying to change the world. Whether it's bringing justice to Darfur, figh
ting global warming, building schools, or rebuilding cities, people are flocking to causes bigger than themselves. They are dissatisfied with the status quo and are sacrificing their time and money to change it. God's people should be at the forefront of this movement. But we're not.
Author and pastor Vince Antonucci challenges you to take part in changing the world, and shows you how to do it by adopting the strategy Jesus used: becoming a guerrilla lover. Just as a small group of people who deliver surprise attacks in close proximity can change the course of a war, you can change the course of this world with love. With engaging true stories of everyday guerrilla lovers, Antonucci will inspire you to wage war on complacency and surprise the people around you with acts of love.
